Although I have tried to explain the Photoshop parts in reasonable detail, I haven’t gone into every tiny detail, so if you have never used Photoshop before, you may need to ask for Google’s help on some parts (or ask in the comments below).
A basic knowledge of your chosen photo editing software.Alternatively, you can use Gimp and its DDS plugin, but this tutorial won’t cover how to use that software.Photoshop (I’m using CS5) and the DDS texture tools.
